"L'ÉLOQUENCE DES LARMES"
CLAIRE TABOURET

This summer, Château La Coste is delighted to present the new exhibition by Claire Tabouret in the Renzo Piano Pavilion. The artist returns to her birthplace to showcase a variety of recent works: paintings on canvas, works on paper, bronze sculptures, and ceramics resulting from her first collaboration with the Sèvres Ateliers. In her figurative paintings, drawings, and sculptures, Claire Tabouret delves into the question of identity, with a particular focus on the enigmas of childhood, whether the individual is isolated or within a group.

For this exhibition, she will explore an important theme in art history: mourners. The artist draws a connection between painful current events and the history of the representation of tears of mourning, ecstasy, or suffering, which are always associated with women.

"It is said that the human body is composed of eighty percent water, so it is not surprising that a different face appears in the mirror each morning." - Claire Tabouret
