« AUTOPORTRAIT »

This summer, Château La Coste presents a solo exhibition dedicated to Jean Pigozzi, the Franco-Italian photographer and distinctive figure in the world of contemporary imagery. Entitled Autoportrait, the exhibition spans over sixty years of artistic practice through a selection of self-portraits and, for the first time, original contact sheets.

Far from a pursuit of perfection, Jean Pigozzi’s work reflects an introspective and honest approach. Through self-portraiture, he explores themes of identity, time, and our relationship with images in a society shaped by the digital age.

Held in the Old Wine Storehouse, this exhibition offers an insight into the world of an artist who, long before the rise of social media, was already casting a sharp and often humorous eye on himself.
