Chimera by Marie de Villepin
Marie de Villepin’s paintings begin where forms elude all classification. They do not seek to describe the world, but rather to deconstruct it in order to reconstruct it anew. On the canvas, figures appear, vanish, and transform, allowing ambiguous presences to emerge—hovering somewhere between creatures, landscapes, and visions.
