Pop’up “El Papagayo” Javier Rodriguez is back at Château La Coste

This autumn, Javier Rodriguez, recognised as one of Argentinean’s finest chefs, returns with the spirit of his restaurant ‘El Papagayo’. He and his team will move into the restaurant of the Domaine's new hotel, Auberge La Coste.

The upstairs restaurant extends into an outdoor area surrounded by nature and works of art, between sky and vines.

Guests can enjoy vast fields of Cabernet Sauvignon as far as the eye can see, and the scents emanating from the aromatic garden. This is where the young chef, whose reputation is well established and whose sensibility is extraordinary, joins us for an ephemeral moment in September during the harvest.

He fell in love with Château La Coste and has fond memories of Provence, particularly the cornucopia it represents. Over the years, Javier Rodriguez has earned an international reputation for his respectful and creative cuisine. He has created a brand new menu for this special Auberge La Coste pop-up, punctuated by touches of magic and imbued with colour and spontaneity.

 

The table, decorated with his signature green apple, is a perfect illustration of the simplicity that characterises him. A sober plate for a surprise of flavours.

His love and respect for the produce are evident in every taste he creates, and you'll be transported!

 

He will be at the Auberge from Wednesday 11 September to Sunday 22 September, to delight our taste buds.

For lunch, he'll be offering a 5-course Discovery Menu, a reinterpretation of local produce.
For dinner, there will be a 7-course Tasting Menu, with a promise of surprises.

 

For this unique occasion, and on the advice of our sommelier, our biodynamic wines and the organic wines from our estate in Argentina, La Coste de Los Andes, will join forces to accompany Javier Rodriguez's gastronomic Menu.
