Javier Rodriguez

In the heart of Château La Coste vineyard, near Aix-en-Provence, Tadao Ando's architectural work, with its pure and unique lines, inspires the artistic universe of the estate. Inside, the bright, contemporary restaurant is dedicated to the arts and hospitality.
The large windows offer a play of reflections on the works of art - Small Crinkly by Alexander Calder, Infinity by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Crouching Spider by Louise Bourgeois - which seem to float in the air. Guests can also to enjoy vast fields of Cabernet Sauvignon as far as the eye can see. This is where young chef Javier Rodriguez, born in Santigao del Estero in Argentina will be joining us for an ephemeral moment in in September.

On a previous visit, he fell in love with Provence and couldn't forget Château La Coste. Having drawn inspiration from his many travels and gained an international reputation thanks to his restaurant El Papagayo in Argentina, he has now created a menu for us, punctuated by touches of magic and imbued with colour, spontaneity and, above all, a focus on taste.
To mark the start of the new school year, we'll be welcoming him from Tuesday 5 to Sunday 17 September.
Considered one of the 100 best chefs in the world according to The Best Chef Award 2023, he creates his menu from his market discoveries.
For lunch, he will be offering a 3-course Menu, a reinterpretation of the local terroir of Provence punctuated by personal touches.
For dinner, there will be a 7-course Inspirational Menu, with a promise of surprises.
For this unique occasion, and on the advice of our sommelier, our biodynamic wines and the organic wines from our estate in Argentina, La Coste de Los Andes, will be served to accompany Javier Rodriguez's gastronomic Menu.
